Academies of Alexandria

Alexandria Area High School small, innovative learning communities – the Academies of Alexandria – are preparing students for college and career opportunities, while delivering a truly personalized learning experience tailored to every student. In addition to required core curriculum, students are provided "real world" learning experiences and connections with local businesses and professionals. State-of-the-art learning labs - design/build, innovation garage, and culinary; along with the on-site Agriculture Education Center give students project-based, hands-on, relevant learning experiences. More than 170 academic course options, including the Early College program, ensures a comprehensive approach to post-secondary success. The Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) program immerses students in real-world experiences in professional settings, which provide a competitive edge. Career Internship offers students the opportunity to intern with a local professional in a career of their choice, and include product design or may be an extension of a CAPS project or experience. Students can complete CNA & EMR professional certifications to gain valuable employment skills.
